Data protection and information on the management of youth university data

FHV handles your personal data with care and responsibility. In processing your data, we comply with national and European data protection regulations.

We therefore wish to inform you that all personal data (e.g. name, email address, postal address, date of birth, phone number, names of legal guardians, title of the course, any consent given for receiving information, and consent regarding video and photo recordings) that you provide to us as part of the registration for participation in the Youth University will be used for the purpose of registering and carrying out these events. These data are processed using automated systems. Your registration constitutes the conclusion of a civil law contract for participation. If you do not provide the necessary data, we will not be able to process the registration.

In addition, your data and the data of your registered child will be used for direct marketing purposes related to similar events or services offered by FHV. This use is legitimised as a legitimate interest of FHV. You and your child may object to this processing for direct marketing purposes at any time by sending an email to: veranstaltungen@fhv.at. In such cases, the lawfulness of any processing carried out prior to the objection remains unaffected.

Personal data will not be shared with third parties. We will store the personal data you have provided for approximately four years, unless you consent to a longer retention period.

Please note that, under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to request access to your personal data, as well as the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, withdrawal of consent, and to object to processing. Any enquiries or requests in this regard may be sent to: datenschutz@fhv.at.

If processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time by emailing datenschutz@fhv.at. The lawfulness of any data processing carried out prior to the withdrawal remains unaffected.

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection laws or that your rights under data protection legislation have been infringed in any way, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority.
