Data protection information for MailChimp newsletter
FHV handles your personal data with care and diligence. In processing data, we comply with the applicable national and European data protection regulations.
We would like to inform you that the collected data (e.g. your name, address, title, contact details, username, information about your employment such as employer, job title, company location, area of responsibility, etc.) is used internally by staff members of FHV and processed by FHV GmbH for the purpose of sending newsletters.
We store the information you have provided, including the names of events for which you have registered.
Legal basis:
To send the newsletter, we require your consent. You can unsubscribe from a newsletter subscription with FHV GmbH at any time. To do so, you may either send us an email (michaela.keetman@fhv.at) or use the cancellation link at the end of the newsletter.
The provision of your personal data is neither legally nor contractually required. However, if you do not provide us with this data, we will not be able to add you to the newsletter mailing list.
Recipients:
Newsletter contact data is managed by the company “The Rocket Science Group LLC d/b/a Mailchimp, (675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, Georgia 30308 USA, privacy@mailchimp.com), hereinafter referred to as “Mailchimp”, where the data is processed (data transfer to third countries: USA).
Since 16 July 2020 (following the Schrems II ruling by the ECJ), data transfers to Mailchimp have been based on Standard Contractual Clauses. Prior to that, they were based on the EU-US Privacy Shield and a Data Protection Agreement. The USA does not have an adequate level of data protection.
Retention period:
The data will be stored as long as FHV has a legitimate interest in maintaining contact with you. After withdrawal of consent, the data will no longer be used to send further information.
Data subject rights:
We would like to inform you that, with regard to your personal data, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, withdrawal, and objection, within the scope provided by law. Any requests or applications in this context can be directed to datenschutz@fhv.at.
As the processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time by sending an email to michaela.keetman@fhv.at. If processing is based on FHV’s legitimate interests, you may object to the processing in accordance with Article 21 GDPR. The lawfulness of processing carried out up until the time of the withdrawal or objection remains unaffected.
If you believe that your data is being processed unlawfully, we kindly ask you to contact us at datenschutz@fhv.at. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority, the competent supervisory authority.
