Data protection information for the use of appointment scheduling via Microsoft Bookings App
Fachhochschule Vorarlberg (FHV) handles your personal data with the utmost care and diligence. All data processing is conducted in accordance with applicable national and European data protection regulations.
Purpose of data processing & categories of data
When using MS 365, personal data is processed.
The data is processed for the purpose of booking university- or study-related appointments with public authorities, institutions, or external companies.
The individuals affected by this data processing may include students, employees, external lecturers, and other individuals connected to FHV. In particular, names, email addresses, phone numbers, and appointment booking details are processed, as well as any other data voluntarily entered by the data subjects.
Legal basis
Consent according to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.
The provision of personal data is voluntary and neither legally nor contractually required. If the personal data is not provided, it will not be possible to book an appointment via this method. In that case, the individual must contact the respective authority, institution, or company directly to find out whether another appointment booking option is available.
Recipients
Data processing is carried out using the Microsoft Bookings app.

Storage period
Appointment booking data is to be deleted after the appointments have taken place, and no later than within three months.
Your rights under the GDPR
We would like to inform you that, in accordance with legal provisions, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict the processing of, and object to the processing of your personal data.

If the processing is based on your consent, you may revoke this at any time by emailing datenschutz@fhv.at.
If the processing is based on FHV’s legitimate interests, you may object to this on justified grounds. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out up to the point of revocation or objection remains unaffected.
If you believe that unlawful data processing has occurred, please contact us at datenschutz@fhv.at.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority, the competent supervisory authority.
