English as a Global Language
What can you expect?
Whether on the busy streets of New York or at the colourful markets of New Delhi, English is spoken all over the world. But how did it become such a global language? Together, we’ll go on a journey of discovery and find out how English developed from the language of a small country into a truly international language. Using lots of examples, we’ll explore why so many people speak English, what this means for their everyday lives – and what it means for us, too.
