(Non)audience research in museums23.01.2023
In our society, museums fulfill a variety of tasks in terms of education and transmission of values and identity, but also in terms of value creation, employment and tourism. The transnational Interreg research project "New Museum Worlds - an explorative approach to (non-)visitor relations to activate the participation of more diverse audience groups through new offer formats" pursues the goal of making cultural offers accessible to broader parts of the population. In this way, even current non-museum visitors should be better addressed in the future. An integrative approach of social research and design research methods is pursued.
