Terms and Conditions of the “Explorer’s Pass” Competition

 

Regarding the Lange Nacht der Forschung (LNF)

1. Organiser
The organiser of the competition is FHV – Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences, CAMPUS V, Hochschulstraße 1, 6850 Dornbirn, Austria.

2. Right to participate
Natural persons who have reached the age of 14 are eligible to participate. Employees of the organiser (FHV) and their relatives are excluded from participation. Participation in the competition is free of charge and voluntary.

3. Taking part in the competition
Participation takes place on-site during the Long Night of Research. To take part in the competition, visitors must:

  • Visit the seven designated stations (A07, A13, A19, A20, A24, A27, A29) and identify the correct solution word.
  • Complete the ‘Explorer’s Pass’ fully and readably (first name, surname, email address, year of birth).
  • Put the pass into the designated prize draw box on site.
Only fully completed passes with the correct solution word will be entered into the prize draw.

4. Prizes
A total of 3 FHV backpacks will be given away. Prizes cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash.

5. Selection and notification of winners
Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entrants during calendar week 18. Winners will be notified by email. If a winner does not respond within 14 days of being notified, their claim to the prize will lapse and a replacement draw will be held.

6. Collection of prizes
Prizes must be collected in person at the FHV in Dornbirn.

7. Early termination
The organiser reserves the right to cancel or terminate the competition without giving reasons, in particular in the event of force majeure, technical misuse or if proper conduct can no longer be guaranteed.

8. Data protection

The data (name, email address, year of birth) will be used exclusively for the purpose of running the competition and notifying the winners.

9. Legal recourse and applicable law
Legal recourse is excluded. Austrian law applies exclusively.
