4STEPS

The 4STEPS project explores the main challenge of Industry 4.0 as a tool for a new, digital industrial revolution. This revolution promises greater flexibility in manufacturing, (improved) customization, increased speed, better quality and improved productivity. The main project objective is to support the successful implementation of smart specialization strategies and the application of Industry 4.0 to all industrial sectors identified by each region. Regional SMEs will be involved in this process via a new network of "Digital Innovation Hubs". The project focuses on innovative production methods and applications of Industry 4.0, developing a catalog of new Industry 4.0 services, a "Technology Maturity Level Index", a transnational action plan and "Digital Innovation Hubs"
