Young children, a vast digital media world
Taking a confident approach to everyday family life
Digital media become an integral part of everyday family life from a very early age. In collaboration with parents and experts, the project develops practical and scientifically sound approaches to empower families with young children to navigate the opportunities and challenges of the digital world.
Project description
Digital media are now an integral part of everyday family life with young children. But how can we ensure they are used responsibly? In collaboration with parents, professionals and partners in Vorarlberg and the Canton of St. Gallen, the project is developing an educational programme for families with young children and for professionals. The focus is on the experiences, needs and ideas of parents, which are incorporated through co-creation sessions. On this basis, a scientifically grounded outreach and peer-to-peer programme is being developed to support families in their everyday digital lives and strengthen their media literacy.
