In light of global challenges such as climate change, environmental pollution, and increasing resource consumption, identifying sustainable solutions is of great importance. This project focuses on identifying potential savings by improving production processes. Using modern AI-based methods, opportunities for optimisation in energy consumption, resource use, and greenhouse gas emissions will be identified and implemented in collaboration with partners from industry. Addressing these challenges requires a broad range of expertise, which is drawn from the cross-border innovation network of the participating partners.

Project objective
The project includes three joint pilot actions designed to support companies in achieving their climate targets. The pilot actions are: (1) reducing the carbon footprint in agriculture, (2) optimising energy use in robotic systems, and (3) improving resource efficiency in product development. In collaboration with companies from relevant sectors, specific challenges will be analysed and corresponding data-driven solutions will be developed. These tailored solutions will then be used to create sector-wide approaches that serve as best-pr
actice examples and will be made publicly available via a dedicated knowledge platform.
In addition to the pilot actions, all partners will contribute to the development of an innovation network, which aims to promote the exchange of experience among the partners and between industry and research.
