APOLLO
This project is funded by:
The APOLLO project is a project funded by Interreg Alpine Space and focuses on improving the well-being of the working population. A central aspect of the project is the exploration of digitalization as a tool to foster social innovation to address current trends, challenges and opportunities in the world of work.
The project addresses common challenges in the Alpine region, including the changing demands of work-life balance, demographic changes, increasing support for families and the integration of e-health solutions. The rise of remote and flexible working models/working time models also requires innovative approaches to the operational and social well-being of employees. In addition, APOLLO promotes collaboration between private actors and public-private initiatives by using digital tools to transform workforce management and optimize social support programs and federal measures - with the aim of creating sustainable and impactful solutions for the Alpine region and beyond.
Project goals
The objectives of APOLLO are based on building knowledge and sharing best practices among the project partners, project stakeholders, and participating regions, in particular with regard to the role of digitalization in the design of operational and territorial social infrastructures and operational social systems. The project strengthens cooperation between actors from different sectors, from public institutions and research centres to companies and employees. A particular focus is on improving working conditions and expanding access to services in remote Alpine areas, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Pilot measures will test the ideas and innovations developed in the project and verify their scaling and transfer to other regions of the Alpine Space. In addition, policy recommendations developed by the project will contribute to the harmonization of legislation and knowledge exchange (e.g., exchange of best practices, processes, technologies, etc.) between public administrations.
Collaboration between partners and stakeholders is at the heart of the APOLLO approach. The project consortium includes public administrations, research institutions, adult education and small and medium-sized enterprises from Austria, Germany, Italy and Slovenia. In addition to these core partners, a group of external project observers accompanies the results of the APOLLO project and contributes to the dissemination of the project stakeholders and interest groups.
