What can you expect?

Dr. Peter Hoffmann's journey into the metaverse has developed from an initial exploration of a technological vision into a coherent research, teaching and book project located at the interface of Engineering and Technology, culture and society.

Based on Mark Zuckerberg's idea of an "embodied Internet", the book "Metaversum" was created with the concept of the real-life connector as a model for connecting real and virtual worlds. Building on this, the book "Avatars in the Metaverse" focused on avatars as a central interface - no longer just as representatives, but as independent actors capable of acting. I n a further step, avatars were further developed into virtual idols - independent figures with a stable identity, narrative and public presence that serve as projection surfaces for values and identity.

In this way, the spectrum ranges from the theoretical consideration of the metaverse to avatars and concrete hybrid application scenarios on the border between the real and virtual worlds.
