Course content
With the Master's thesis, students should demonstrate the ability to answer a research question from the area of computer sciences on a scientific basis with a certain degree of novelty.
Learning outcomes
Students are able to
- analyze a problem on a scientific basis and compare it with the current state of the art.
- describe the objectives of a research work and delimit the problem.
- develop and implement a solution that has a certain degree of novelty.
- take into account the methodology of the respective field of study.
- evaluate the results achieved and relate them to the starting point and the current state of the art.
- document their own work and conclusions in the form of a written master thesis.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Independent work on a scientific basis coached by a competent supervisor at the university.
Assessment methods and criteria
The written Master's thesis will be assessed by the supervisor at the university. The following criteria are decisive:
- written report
- theme processing
- technical implementation
- expertise and results
