The course deals with different aspects of effective communication in general, and in English in particular, using contemporary digital tools to achieve better reception in the target audiences as well as creating efficiency for the sender.
The module focuses on the use of language in an organisational context. It enables students to actively participate in relevant communication situations and communicate safely in standard day-to-day business situations.
At the end of the course students are able to
- know some communication theories and how written and oral communication can be more effective and efficient
- know and apply contemporary methods to communicate complex information effectively and efficiently, in particular factual information with visualization and appropriate composition
- know and apply contemporary digital tools (including AI) to create appropriate means of communication (presentations, visuals, video etc.)
- moderate business discussions in (larger) groups
- Seminar complemented by group presentations and individual exercises and deliverables
