FHV kicks off the academic year with a focus on the future This week, 715 first-year students are beginning their studies at FHV—for the first time, all together as part of the “Ready, Study, Go!” orientation week. They were selected from among 1,218 applicants who met the formal admission criteria (application ratio of 1.7).

VCÖ Mobility Award: FHV Honored as a Partner of VMOBIL Rad Dornbirn The VMOBIL Bike Dornbirn was recognized as an exemplary project at the 2026 VCÖ Vorarlberg Mobility Awards. The FHV is a partner in Vorarlberg’s first bike-sharing system and provides space and stations right on campus. Sofie Bayer accepted the award on behalf of the FHV.

Computer Science remains a career field with a promising future Artificial intelligence (AI) writes code, analyzes data, and detects errors. Despite this—or perhaps precisely because of it—Computer Science remains a field of study with a promising future. That’s because there is a demand for people who understand digital systems, use AI effectively, and develop new solutions based on it. With two bachelor’s degree programmes, the FHV prepares students for the changing demands of the digital workplace.
