FHV students honored with the KLIMA BILDUNG AWARD

09.12.2025
This year, eight students from various bachelor's and master's degree programs at the FHV received the CLIMATE EDUCATION AWARD from the KLIMACENT platform for their theses.

The initiative focuses on climate and environmental protection and the circular economy. In order to implement the "climate-friendly Vorarlberg" model region, role models, pioneers and practical concepts are needed above all to pave the way for a sustainable lifestyle and a circular economy. The award ceremony for the winners recently took place in Nenzing. Babette Hebenstreit, lecturer in the Department of Engineering and Technology at the FHV, acknowledged the diversity of the submissions in her welcoming speech: "The innovative strength of the young talents is impressive. It is clearly evident in the operational, technical, legal, pedagogical, participative, spatial planning and communicative approaches to solutions from the municipal to the European political level." Exciting ideas become visible through active networking with stakeholders. In addition to the prize money, there is also the opportunity to apply for start-up funding for projects to be implemented. Submissions for the CLIMATE EDUCATION AWARD 2026 are already possible at: www.klimacent.at/klima-bildung-award/

The day before, the young ideas for climate protection were invited to the ORF live program "Neues bei Neustädter". You can listen to the podcast here.
