Data Protection Information on the video surveillance system of FH Vorarlberg pursuant to Art. 13f GDPR

 

Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences (FH Vorarlberg) handles your personal data carefully and conscientiously. When processing data, we observe the legal national and European data protection regulations. We would like to inform you below about the processing of your personal data in connection with the video surveillance system of FH Vorarlberg. 

Purpose of data processing, data categories: 
The video surveillance takes place for the protection of the property as well as for the protection of the house right of the responsible person. 

The following categories of data are recorded: Image data (appearance, behaviour), place of image recording (spatiality, location of camera), time of image recording (date, time, start/end of image recording) 

Legal basis: 
The legal basis for the processing activity is the legitimate interest of FH Vorarlberg to protect the monitored areas and to use the records accordingly for the purpose of preventing, containing and clarifying criminal relevant conduct. 

Recipients: 
Your data will be treated with the utmost care. Your data will only be transmitted insofar as this is necessary to maintain the electronic services (IT providers) and to prosecute violations of legal provisions or claims by FH Vorarlberg. 

Retention period: 
Your data will in principle be deleted after seven days, longer storage periods are possible in some cases. 

Your data protection rights according to Art. 12 et seq. of the GDPR 
We wish to inform you of your following rights to information, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, withdrawal and objection with respect to your personal data. Should you have any queries or requests in this connection, please contact datenschutz@fhv.at

In the event that data processing is based on consent, you may withdraw this consent at any time also by emailing datenschutz@fhv.at. If data processing is based on the legitimate interests of FH Vorarlberg, you may object to this processing and include your reasons for the objection, however the lawfulness of data processing conducted prior to withdrawal or objection shall remain unaffected. 

If you believe data processing to be unlawful, we ask that you contact us by emailing datenschutz@fhv.at. Moreover, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, the Austrian Data Protection Authority.
