Impact and development of community-based social psychiatric work at AQUA Mühle Vorarlberg gGmbH

Since 2021, this project has been carried out annually in collaboration with the “Living” division of AQUA Mühle Vorarlberg gGmbH. The aim is to assess and further develop the social psychiatric rehabilitation services provided in residential communities and supported independent living settings.
Project Objectiv
At the heart of the project lies the question of how residents’ quality of life develops during their time in supported housing. Quality of life is an important indicator of the effectiveness of social psychiatric services. Its level and progression provide insight into the developmental needs of the support on offer.
To this end, quality of life is assessed and analysed once a year in cooperation with AQUA Mühle, using the AQUA Life Quality Measure. This evaluation considers both the current situation and changes compared to the previous year. In doing so, the impact of the services can be better understood.
The results offer valuable insights into the current state of daily life and psychological stability. They support AQUA Mühle Vorarlberg and its staff in continuously improving their services in line with the needs of the users. In this way, the project contributes to the sustainable strengthening of community-based psychosocial support.
