What is the focus of your current research?
I am currently working on the knowledge – organization – technology nexus. Specifically, my current work deals with how technology is changing the way organizations deal with knowledge. Due to current developments, the focus is on the field of artificial intelligence.
What makes this field exciting for you?
I find it particularly exciting to deal with the interaction between people and technology, embedded in the framework of the organization. The constant and rapid development of technology and research in this field make this area even more interesting.
What distinguishes research as a field of activity for you?
Scientific research, more than almost any other field, practises what Habermas described as the "unforced force of the better argument". Hypotheses, methods and theories are applied if it can be argued that they should be applied. If there are arguments or evidence in favour of doing things differently, then so be it.
