Blickpunkt Wirtschaft 062: China's electric car miracle
Strong in China, (still) weak in Europe
What can you expect?
Chinese electric car manufacturers have grown strongly thanks to a huge domestic market, government subsidies, consistent investment in battery technology and control of the supply chain. In Europe and the US, however, they are facing resistance in the form of tariffs, political concerns and a lack of brand confidence. Their global market success therefore remains open. For those familiar with scientific research in the field of "international business", this situation is by no means surprising. The presentation analyzes the opportunities and risks of this development from a practical and academic perspective and ventures a forecast of how the development of Chinese car manufacturers in Europe could continue.
