The cost of living in western Austria is relatively high. We therefore recommend that you budget at least €1,000 to €1,350 per month (if you need your own accommodation):

- Miscellaneous (insurance, public transport, leisure, etc.): €300 to €400 per month
Students in Austria are automatically covered by accident and liability insurance through the compulsory ÖH contribution. It is the student’s responsibility to take out insurance.
