FHV at CEEDUCON 2025: Digital mobility in European exchange
21.01.2026On November 19 and 20, 2025, the FHV was represented at the Central European Education Conference (CEEDUCON) in Prague. The varied programme included sessions on topics such as Smart and Sustainable International Cooperation, Internationalization for All, Global & Regional Partnerships as well as Alumni, Employability and Future Skills.
The annual conference is organized by the Czech National Agency for Erasmus+ in cooperation with the national agencies from Austria, Germany, Poland and Slovakia and is one of the most important exchange platforms for university internationalization in Central Europe.
FHV as ESCI Champion and Speaker
In its role as European Student Card Initiative (ESCI) Champion 2025-2027 in the Erasmus Without Paper category, the FHV was invited by the organizers to actively contribute to the conference program. Together with colleagues from the University of Prešov (Slovakia) and Masaryk University (Czech Republic), Anja Sieghartsleitner led the session "From Interoperability to User Experience - ESCI Champions' Practices in Digital Mobility".
The three universities were deliberately selected to showcase different institutional settings: from smaller universities with around 1,600 students to large universities with around 35,000 students - as well as different systems used, such as Mobility Online, Dashboard and Isoios.
From technical interoperability to lived practice
The session focused on user experiences with Erasmus Without Paper and the transition from pure technical interoperability to practical, efficient processes. The FHV provided insights into its digitization practices and the use of Mobility Online. In addition, the approaches and systems of the two partner universities were presented and compared. The audience found the concrete practical examples and tips particularly valuable - for example on the digital processing of Erasmus+ cooperation agreements or learning agreements for mobile students.
The different perspectives showed what individual process design at universities can look like and which solutions have proven successful depending on the size of the institution and system landscape.
Impulses for the European Higher Education Area
Especially for participants from universities that are still at the beginning of their digitalization processes, the session offered a compact orientation on functionalities, system differences and possible implementation steps. At the same time, it became clear how digital solutions can sustainably strengthen collaboration and efficiency in the European Higher Education Area. With its contribution, the FHV once again positioned itself as an active co-designer of European mobility standards - a university that not only successfully applies its expertise, but also shares and further develops it throughout Europe.
The European Student Card Initiative (ESCI) is an EU project for the comprehensive digitalization of Erasmus+ mobilities.
