13.07.2025
The specialist book "Data Sharing for SMEs: Requirements and tools for data sharing" was published in collaboration with Martin Dobler from the Business Informatics research center.

In addition to Martin Dobler, the book was edited by a team of experts from FHV partner universities, including Petra Kugler (OST), Jürg Meierhofer (ZHAW), Marc Strittmatter (HTWG), Manuel Treiterer (HTWG) and Helen Vogt (ZHAW). The textbook offers small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) valuable insights and practical guidance on how to use and share data effectively.

It should also be emphasized that Michael Hellwig and Jens Schumacher, both employees of the Business Informatics research centre, have also contributed chapters to this work, which further underlines the book's expertise and practical relevance.

The book deals with various aspects of data sharing, both from a cross-company and an internal company perspective. It shows how companies can create incentives for successful participation in the data economy and use external conditions to maximize their economic potential in the area of data. It also presents practical solutions for SMEs on how to optimize the value of their data, build trusted partnerships, overcome security barriers and effectively manage legal issues.
