18th Vorarlberg Job Fair at the FHV

13.03.2026
Great interest in more than 1,000 jobs from more than 115 companies and institutions at the region's largest job marketplace.

A clear signal for Vorarlberg as a business location: with over 1,000 job opportunities from more than 115 exhibiting employers - from industry, Business and Management, social organizations and institutions - and more than a dozen pitches with impulses for careers and applications, today's 18th Vorarlberg Job Fair once again generated a great deal of interest. Thousands of visitors gathered information in person at the largest marketplace in our region. The Vorarlberg job fair, which was launched by the FHV and IV, was organized for the 18th time today in cooperation with the "Marke Vorarlberg" and the VN.

A spirit of optimism at the opening of the job fair

At this 18th job fair, numerous decision-makers from Vorarlberg's politics, Business and Management took the opportunity to get a personal impression of the current situation on the job market and our business location. Among those attending the official opening were Barbara Schöbi-Fink, State Councillor for Education, Christof Bitschi, State Governor, Gudrun Petz-Bechter, Deputy Director of the WKV, Bernhard Heinzle, President of the AK, Bernhard Bereuter, State Director of the AMS, Heike Eder, National Councillor, as well as Heiko Richter and Lena Guggenberger from the Education Directorate. Vorarlberg's military command exhibited for the first time and was represented by Colonel Michael Kerschat.

Barbara Schöbi-Fink, State Councillor for Education: "The FHV job fair is much more than just a recruiting event for our state. It is living proof of the close link between excellent academic education and the economic strength of our country. By keeping our talents here in Vorarlberg and networking them with our companies, we ensure that fresh know-how arrives directly where it creates prosperity and progress. The trade fair is therefore the link that ensures that Vorarlberg remains a leading location for innovation in the future."

Stefan Fitz-Rankl, university management of the FHV: "The 18th Vorarlberg Job Fair has once again shown how valuable the close cooperation between the university and Business and Management is. Together with the Vorarlberg Federation of Industry and other partners, we have succeeded in creating a platform where students, graduates, skilled workers and companies can talk to each other directly. It is precisely this direct networking that makes the job fair an important source of inspiration for our region. For many people, the job fair is an important step towards their professional future and a great opportunity for companies to get to know and attract talent. The fact that the event has successfully established itself over so many years underlines its importance for Vorarlberg as a business and education location."

Simon Kampl, university management of IV Vorarlberg: "The 18th job fair also impressively demonstrates how strong the bridge between industry and the labor market is in Vorarlberg. Despite Business and Management challenges, the internationally successful industry remains the central engine of our country. It is actively addressing the future topics of digitalization, artificial intelligence and decarbonization, thus confirming its leading role within Austria. More than 1,000 vacancies - from hidden champions, global market leaders and SMEs - clearly show how high the demand for qualified specialists is. We are looking for people with an innovative spirit and a sense of responsibility, particularly in technical and scientific professions. There are great opportunities here, especially for women. Initiatives such as the job fair and the expat service make an important contribution to attracting skilled workers and securing long-term prosperity and competitiveness in Vorarlberg."

Strong offer

At today's 18th edition of the Vorarlberg Job Fair, the "Fachkräfteschmiede" FHV also provided information about its extensive range of part-time and dual study opportunities. In over 20 study programmes in the fields of Engineering and Technology, Business and Management, as well as Work and Health, the university provides students with skills that are in demand on the job market both today and in the future. More than 115 companies and institutions with over 1,000 job offers presented themselves with their exhibition stands and pitches. These included large companies such as Alpla, Blum, Doppelmayr, Zumtobel, Liebherr, Hirschmann Automotive, Gebrüder Weiss, Rhomberg Bau, illwerke vkw, Getzner, Rauch Fruchtsäfte, Hilti, Meusburger, Baur, Bachmann electronic, 11er, Carini, Haberkorn, Russmedia and Gantner Electronic - as well as SMEs and social institutions such as ifs, aqua mühle, Lebenshilfe, Katholische Kirche Vorarlberg - and institutions such as the state of Vorarlberg, the education directorate and the state police directorate. Statements from exhibitors at the Vorarlberg 2026 job fair

"For us, the Vorarlberg Job Fair has been one of the most important HR platforms in Vorarlberg for years. As a long-standing partner of the FHV, we greatly appreciate the direct exchange with students and alumni as well as the excellently organized fair. It offers a versatile platform to provide insights into our working world and to inspire new talent for Blum."

Bernhard Erkinger, Recruiting & Employer Branding, Julius Blum GmbH

"The Vorarlberg job fair is an important platform for illwerke vkw to talk directly to committed talents and provide insights into our diverse career opportunities. The personal exchange on site enables us to get to know potential employees authentically and to present our company as an attractive employer in the region. This is why the fair is an integral part of our recruiting calendar. We are delighted to be part of the fair again this year."

Samuel Scheier, Head of Recruiting at illwerke vkw

"The FHV job fair is a fixed point in the year for us. This is where we get to talk directly to talented people and feel curiosity, enthusiasm and new perspectives. We take part every year because we believe in getting to know people personally - and that the future is created where people and ideas come together."

Kilian Dorner, university management Dorner Electronic

"The Vorarlberg job fair is a valuable platform for us to get in touch with interested people and to highlight the diverse career and development opportunities at VLKH. The fact that the fair was held for the 18th time this year underlines its lasting importance as a fixture in the Vorarlberg job market. As one of the largest employers in the region's healthcare sector, it is very important to us to establish contacts at an early stage and to highlight specific prospects in the Vorarlberg healthcare sector. The fair offers a professional and personal setting for this, which we greatly appreciate."

Dir. Dr. Gerald Fleisch, university management VLKH

"We are taking part in the Vorarlberg job fair because we want to show how diverse the Catholic Church is as an employer. In addition to working with people in pastoral care and support, there are more than 60 different professional fields in the diocese, including administration, education, communication and Engineering and Technology. At the same time, we want to come into contact with people, because many people today are not just looking for a job, but also for meaning in their work - and that's exactly what they find with us."

Christine Vonblon, Personnel Officer Catholic Church Vorarlberg
