White paper on EU Data Act published

On September 12, 2025, the Data Act Pioneer Consortium published the white paper 'The EU Data Act - Impact, Options and Potential'.

In the course of this paper, the following different research focuses will be examined:

  • Focus HTWG Konstanz - Legal aspects
  • Topic ZHAW SML & OST: Open Data Innovation
  • Topic FHV Vorarlberg: IT Security
  • Topic ZHAW SoE: Data evaluation & monetization

This white paper is aimed at companies, particularly in the manufacturing industry, that use networked products and services or are customers of companies whose products and services collect data. The paper is intended to create understanding, provide orientation and enable companies to ask themselves the questions relevant to the implementation of the Data Act. The aim of this paper is therefore to offer approaches and bring together different specialist perspectives on key issues. It presents initial approaches and strategic considerations from different perspectives, but with a common goal: to increase confidence and awareness in dealing with this complex new legal framework.
