OpenIdea_103 Creativity on a drip: design in an AI-induced coma
What can you expect?
Design systems and a seemingly endless array of templates and pre-built assets make it easier than ever to create digital products. Artificial intelligence is completely reshaping the rules of the game: it now takes just a few sentences to bring a complex website to life. When everyone — humans and machines alike — draws from the same pool of resources, it accelerates a trend that has long been underway: digital products are dissolving into a sea of uniformity, with the generic becoming the norm. This talk explores the role creativity still plays within this tension — and the qualities that will define the relevance of designers in the future.
Speaker: Nicolas Tschaikner is a designer, entrepreneur and connector. He studied Media Design at FHV and specialised in UX design during a semester abroad at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. With his creative agency Superfluid, he designs digital products and brand experiences — for global corporations as well as sole traders. He gives talks and runs courses. Alongside this, he organises events and operates a co-working space — because, in his experience, the best ideas emerge through exchange.
