Business Summit at the FHV focused on the topic of diversity
06.06.2025The seventh edition of the Business Summit at the FHV met with great interest. Prof. Dr. Holger Bonin, Director at the Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS), showed how more diversity can make companies and societies more successful - but that this requires active measures. Ana-Cristina Grohnert, experienced entrepreneur, ESG strategist and author of "The Hidden Capital", showed in her keynote how diversity becomes a driving force for economic innovation. Nico Langmann, Paralympics participant, wheelchair tennis player and author, inspired with a personal impulse about the mental shift towards true inclusion and solution-oriented thinking.
Future-oriented dialog
The Business Summit serves as an important platform for future-oriented dialog. Organizer Markus Ilg, Head of Department Business and Management at the FHV, emphasized: "The event shows how important it is for science, business and society to work together to develop solutions for the challenges of tomorrow. As a university, we want to play an active role in shaping this change and take responsibility for a value-oriented Business and Management culture."
Manfred Miglar, Market Director of the main sponsor Raiffeisen Landesbank Vorarlberg, added: "The Business Summit brings together exciting personalities, innovative topics and committed participants - it is a valuable place for exchange and networking. It is precisely platforms like this that are needed in our society in order to open up new perspectives and work together on solutions for tomorrow. Raiffeisen has supported the Business Summit for many years with pride and a great deal of conviction."
Successful concepts
In an increasingly polarized society, economist Holger Bonin pointed out the Business and Management benefits of diversity in his keynote speech. He showed how diversity can better exploit existing potential and promote innovation. However, targeted personnel development and labor market policy measures are necessary. Bonin warned against the populist attack on diversity and equality.
Ana-Cristina Grohnert addressed the different perspectives of diverse teams, which leads to more creative problem-solving and better decisions, as well as promoting innovation processes. Using numerous practical examples, the expert showed how companies and organizations benefit from diversity.
Nico Langmann, a top athlete in a wheelchair, used his life story to illustrate how his solution-oriented mindset helped him to master his challenging path. He wants to be an example for other people and invite them to think about life paths from a new perspective - and thus make a contribution to diversity.
