GET-AHED

Green Education Transition - A Higher Education Digital Buddy

GET-AHED is an Erasmus+ funded project that aims to support higher education institutions (HEIs) in their green transition through a dedicated online platform – in the areas of teaching, infrastructure and sustainability initiatives.

Project description

The GET-AHED platform will consist of three interconnected tools:

(1) HE Green Assessment – a green sustainability self-assessment tool for higher education institutions, which can be used to evaluate the performance of higher education institutions in specific areas (e.g. operations, organisational management, education, research, public relations).

(2) HE Green Champion – a training tool for higher education institutions, with interactive training materials for different areas of a higher education institution: students, staff and management.

(3) HE Green Zero – a tool that focuses on energy-related aspects of higher education institutions and provides good practices from project partners and international partners.

The GET-AHED platform is being developed in a participatory manner, in particular in consultation with a number of associated EU ministries, higher education representatives and an existing European higher education alliance (RUN-EU). Pilot universities are also involved in testing various components of the platform to ensure its relevance and usability.

‘In GET-AHED, we at the University of Applied Sciences Vorarlberg are demonstrating that we are always interested in actively supporting current developments in the field of the green transition and making knowledge from the university widely available – for other universities, for companies and also for society.’
