Requirements and Prerequisites

Fundamental knowledge of manufacturing engineering, flexible production systems and using of CAD-systems.

Course content

This course gives an overview about modern maintenance managment of machines and equipment. Condition monitoring and vibration analysis are central topics. Corrective actions will be discussed; also modern monitoring systems and qulity managment by using new findings of KI. The course will be supportet by a namable service enterprise.

Main points of this course are the digitisation of 3D free form surfaces and the reverse engineering to the CAD. The CAD-data were used by automatic programming of CNC programmes.

Learning outcomes

The students know of measurement of vibrations, analysis of vibrations and basics of diagnostic analysis of machines. The also understand modern maintenanceconcepts.

The profile of education contains the using and optimisation continuous processes as soon as using and further development of reverse engineering. Students are able to comprehend the technological relations, to design optimal processes and to use latest technical expertises.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Lectures with integrated exercises, laboratory tutorials, independent study
