Admission procedure

After your application has been submitted and examined, you will receive an email about the admission procedure. In order to ensure a transparent admission procedure for the study places, the study place allocation takes place in two stages and according to the following criteria:

Stage 1

Analysis of the application documents (25%)

  • Quality and content of the submitted documents (including cover letter, resume, etc.)
  • Performance orientation of previous education (evaluation based on uploaded transcript of records)
  • Subject relevant professional as well as management experience

Level 2

Structured individual interview (interview dates are offered on an ongoing basis):

Skills and Knowledge (45%):
The structured individual interview is conducted by subject representatives, partly in English, and gives you the opportunity to demonstrate in particular the skills and knowledge that may be relevant to the success of your studies and future fields of activity. In the invitation to the interview, you will be asked to self-assess your knowledge of the basics of Business Informatics. This self-assessment serves as a prerequisite for optimal preparation for the study program.

Project Idea (30%):
Developing a proposal for a potential research-practice project is also part of your interview preparation. Make a reference to the contents of your studies and show both the scientific and the practical relevance of your project idea (if necessary with reference to your company). This project idea must be uploaded in the online application no later than three days before the interview date. The presentation will take place during the interview.

After the end of the admission process, you will receive a written notification.

Enrollment at the FHV will take place in September.
