Learning outcomes

The students are able to see, understand and apply an expanded concept of design. 

The students know  

  • the link between applied design and design sciences and therefore the options in terms of research for, about and through design.  
  • the problems of the generalisation of rules of behaviour in connection with design processes that are created for certain situations, contexts and times and cannot be repeated in terms of the effect of their reception.  
  • different discourses on ideas about design, working methods in the field of professional design, approaches to assess and evaluate design processes.
