Course content
  • Sketching parts and assemblies as a basis for spatial imagination and three-dimensional modelling.
  • Basic knowledge of creating technical drawings according to rules laid down in standards
  • Introduction to manufacturing technology and overview of the main groups of manufacturing processes (machining with geometrically defined cutting edge, machining with geometrically undefined cutting edge)
  • Presentation of application cases and process variants
  • Introduction to CAD
Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students will be able to

  • sketch simple mechanical parts,
  • understand the basics of technical drawings and present technical facts in a generally understandable way
  • name selected manufacturing processes that are particularly important in electrical engineering
  • solve simple mechanical design tasks using a CAD program.
