XR-Lab: Participatory Innovation Lab
Research, technology and innovation today is increasingly conducted in a participatory process, in the context of increased collaboration between all parts of the quadruple helix (academia/research, public authorities, industry/SMEs, civil society/citizens/local communities) to develop innovations in line with society's needs, values and expectations. This approach has also been reflected in the Open Innovation Strategy of the Austrian Federal Government.
In the new participatory innovation lab to be built, which will consist of an investigation, control, and technology room, it is planned to bring together novel eXtended Reality - (XR) - technologies and complement them with existing technologies to capture the experience and behavior of users. This means both an extension and a novel use of existing solutions.
