In this course, the students are introduced to central creative ways of thinking and acting, as well as being made familiar with the basic principles and strategies of design.
Knowledge of various recording methods and how these can be used at the beginning of design processes is conveyed. Imaging, for example, is used as a tool to deal with the question of how meaning is constructed and communicated through two-dimensional images. The students experiment with different media, tools and techniques and get to know different methods of how things, facts and situations can be captured, how other people can communicate, analyze and reflect.
The focus is on recording, collecting, sorting, organizing, analyzing and reflecting.
The aim is to stimulate the development of observation and representation skills.
The course contains asynchronous teaching elements and is based on the "flipped classroom" concept.
Contents provided as online tutorials, including exercise examples, are used by the students as preparation for the course and / or for exercise purposes.
