    • Organization, framework and process of internships

    • Practical skills acquisition during studies

    • Written documentation for the internship and evaluation

    • Internship goals

    • Presentation of chosen internship of the fifth semester students

    • Stressful situations in the internship and coping strategies

  • Coaching professional development
  • Supervision:
    • Self-awareness and self-reflection
    • Ways to strengthen resources for coping with professional demands (e.g., by developing and expanding patterns of interpretation and action)
    • Articulation of and dealing with stress
    • Dealing with ethical and conscience conflicts
    • Differentiated perception and description of complex social situations
    • Understanding professional relationships, interactions and frameworks and helping to shape them
    • Methods of cooperation and communication in different situations (e.g. dealing with criticism, constructive confrontation, etc.)

The students...

  • know the basics and basic conditions of practical training
  • describe the practical competence acquisition in the progress of the studies
  • outline the receipt, maintenance, and submission of written documentation for the internship
  • describe possible learning objectives for the first internship
  • have the necessary organizational information to complete the first internship
  • name coping strategies when faced with potential challenges in the first practicum placement
  • know the basics of supervision/intervision and its necessity for professional nursing care
  • receive guidance on self-evaluation as an approach to quality assurance in nursing care
  • intertwine different perspectives and viewpoints
