Prerequisites for Incomings: Basic knowledge of Social Work (or related programmes such as Social Pedagogy)
Gender:
• Exploring and reflecting on our individual biographies in relation to gender.
• Exploring and reflecting on the broader concepts of gender identity.
Diversity:
• Introduction to the concept of diversity and the categories of difference.
• Exploring and reflecting on prejudices, assumptions and value systems in relation to these difference categories.
• Exploring and reflecting on how categories of difference are linked to structures of societal power and privilege, with a focus on our individual biographies.
• Exploring and reflecting on oppression in personal and professional environments.
The students
• are able to recognize the presence and impact of gender and other individual categories of difference in a pluralistic society
• are able to critically reflect on these in the context of social work
• have understood the central importance of reflection in personal and professional contexts.
